OUR WORKS

Overseas Community Involvement Project

empower to create meaningful change

Our capacity for change is not limited to Singapore’s shores. Impacted by the Asian Tsunami of 2004, Canact begun to work on long-term developmental projects with local communities all around the region, improving lives of beneficiaries incrementally with each trip. Since 2010, the team has run over 20 trips to Batam, Bintan, Taman Negara, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap with at least 6 different schools/organisations.
Through these trips, participants are empowered to create real meaningful change within local communities such as providing clean drinking water and educating them on environmental conservation and hygiene. Through this, students learn more about themselves, hone their interpersonal and leadership skills. They also become more adaptable, independent, resilient and develop empathy for others.
We advocate and educate on:

Hygiene & health

Clean water

Sustainable living

Environmental conservation

Global and cultural awareness
